M-Pesa as a mobile payment platform in Kenya is lauded for its effectiveness, fastness, security and convenience.
Zuku from Wananchi Group offers various packages that the customers can choose from.
For instance, there is Zuku Satellite TV for digital television services, Zuku Airtime for phone services and Zuku Fiber for internet services. So you want to pay or any of the Zuku services using M-Pesa?
The following steps apply for customers who want to pay Zuku Fiber (Triple Play) via M-Pesa using the pay bill number 220220:
Step One: Access your M-Pesa Menu
Safaricom’s M-Pesa Menu can easily be accessed via any mobile phone. Simply locate the SIM Toolkit (STK) on your device and you will be taken to a menu with Safaricom+, M-PESA and Contact Backup. For this purpose, choose M-PESA.
Step Two: Select Lipa na M-Pesa
The M-Pesa menu comes with various options for the user. These include: Send Money, Withdraw Cash, Buy Airtime, M-Shwari, Lipa na M-PESA and My Account. Choose Lipa na M-PESA.
Step Three: Select Pay Bill
The Lipa na M-PESA menu comprises two main options notably: Search SIM Contacts and Enter business no. The first one is suitable for those who have saved the Pay Bill number in their contacts. If not, just key in the business number 220220 which in this case, is Zuku Kenya business number for Zuku Fiber (Triple Play) and then press OK.
Step Four: Enter the account no.
Upon keying in the business number, you are taken to a menu with two options gain notably: Search SIM Contacts and Enter account no. The account number is simply your zuku account number. Then press OK.
Step Five: Enter amount
Simply key in the amount of money you want to use to pay for the Zuku Fiber Triple Play Service. Press OK.
Step Six: Enter M-PESA PIN
This step requires you to key in your 4-digit M-PESA PIN and then press OK. Remember that your M-PESA Personal Identification Number (PIN) is the only security between you and your hard earned money. Keep it safe, ALWAYS!
Step Seven: Confirm details
It is important to review the details such as the account number and the amount before submitting payments. Safaricom has introduced the Hakikisha platform through which you can verify again the details before hitting OK.
Step Eight: Confirmation messages
Upon completion of payments, Safaricom will immediately send you a confirmation SMS with transaction number.
It takes Zuku approximately two hours to update your account.
